Time for myself – thinking, contemplating, communing with nature
Getting know people with similar interests
Gaining goals, that I set to myself

5 least favourite things about running?
Problems with winter training due to air pollution (smog)
The necessity to participate in draws to biggest world events – without luck for now
It’s hard to find motivation (from time to time)
Not enough time for training
Some runners, who approach amateur running too seriously – it should be fun

Favourite workouts?
Long runs (over 20 km)

What are you expecting from Helsinki Half Marathon?
If only I succeed to prepare myself properly, I’d like to fight for improving my personal best. Additionally, I expect a big international event, well organised and with an interesting route, which will let me experience Helsinki and stay in my mind for a long time.

Goal at Helsinki Half Marathon?
I’ll try to fight for the result below 1:40!

Half marathon PR? Other PR`s?
5 km – 20:07 (Pawłowice 2018)
10 km – 43:22 (Gliwice 2014)
Half marathon – 1:41:46 (Katowice 2017)
Marathon – 3:42:13 (Tallinn 2018)

How you will prepare for Helsinki Half Marathon:
I have a training plan from January to the end of June. I assume 3 general development workouts at home and 2 longer weekend runs every week in winter. When heating season is over I’m planning to run 4 times a week plus 1-2 general development workouts with kettles at home. As I will run Rijeka Half marathon (Croatia) in April and Prague Marathon (Czech Republic) in May I hope to be well prepared to run HHM!

What inspired you to start running in the first place?
One of my colleagues knew, that I run at evenings from time to time. He convinced me to take part in my first 10 km run.
